Shore fishing on the Ottawa River

With some nice weather in the forecast, we headed out to find some shore fishing spots on the Ottawa River. After taking a long, unplanned detour, we ended up at the Orignal Marina, where I planned to dock my boat for the rest of the season. With my luck, they sold out the last 2 available spots the day before I arrived! So much for my plans to set up shop on one of the best musky fishing spots on the planet. We did some shore fishing there, caught 1 small pike. As we headed home, we changed our plans from night fishing for channel cats to going bass fishing on the Raisin River again. We got out on the water around 5:30 PM, caught 4 bass between then and 7:30 PM, all were under 2 lbs. We then decided on trolling worm harnesses for walleye, ended up catching 1 small walleye around 10 inches long just around dusk. As it got dark and the bugs started attacking, we quickly headed back for the shore and called it a day.
